  • Environmental and Health Impacts of Plastics - Thursday, April 21, 7:00-8:15 PM, on Zoom. A Neighbor to Neighbor Conversation co-hosted by CALM and CANN. Presented by Faren Savitz from Penn's Environment's Conservation & Zero Waste programmed Zero Waste program in order to reduce plastic waste in PA. Use of plastics in so many ways, including our clothing, electronics, food packaging, toys, and much more, has led to am extreme level of plastic pollution.   • Why Your Next Car Should Be Electric - Thursday, 3/24/2022, 7:00-8:15 PM. A Neighbor to Neighbor Conversation co-hosted by CALM and CANN. This session will be presented by Noel Smyth, a long-time resident of Haverford Township, and Head of Product Development for the World Resources institute, providing digital tools to help humankind measure and manage the world's natural resources. He is a volunteer leader for the Citizens Climate Lobby, a volunteer on the Haverford Township Environmental Advisory Board, and a volunteer with Solarize Delco. Watch recording here.
